Real Life Stories And Poems

Premonition

Everyone dreams at one time or another,
Or so I was told by my dear old mother.
But most forget the stories from their head,
That are usually told while we are in bed.

There are times most remember something,
But have no idea of the dream’s meaning.
Then there are those within our community,
Who seem to remember everything clearly.

There are also some who make a living,
Telling the meaning of our dreaming.
It may be quite right or as wrong as hell,
But how on earth are we going to tell?

My dreams I keep with my own heart,
Hoping never to reveal even a single part.
For some are so awfully dark and strange,
Their revealing some lives could change.

Incidents sometimes put me in a position,
Revealing the meaning called premonition.
Then I feel obliged to tell the participants,
About my dream and concurring events.

Premonitions can also be called predictions,
To some people of different convictions.
But to me they are just simply dreaming,
That may or may not have any meaning.
